Rawleigh Complex Building B Cleanup Grant

Rawleigh Complex Building E Cleanup Grant

The City of Freeport is submitting applications for three $200,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Cleanup Grants to help the City continue to fund its successful brownfields program. The grants that the City is requesting would fund environmental cleanup at three Rawleigh Complex buildings: Building B (114 – 122 S. Liberty Ave.), Building D (101 S. Liberty Ave.), and Building E (101 – 111 S. Liberty Ave).

Draft grant applications will be available for public comment from October 14 – November 12, 2008, downloaded from this website and in hard copy in the following locations:

The draft proposals will be reviewed and public comments accepted at a public meeting on October 28, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. at the Stephenson County Farm Bureau, 210 W. Spring St., Freeport, IL 61032.
