Marta Nelson is an Assistant Planner who recently joined the Redevelopment Team. She primarily works on redevelopment and economic development projects. Marta's main service areas are research, writing, and project coordination. She also assists with plan preparation. Her interests involve riverfront development, community and economic development, and green jobs. Her experience includes hosting charrette sessions and other public outreach events as well as creating proposal documents and survey instruments.
Prior to joining Vandewalle & Associates, Marta managed budgets, conducted community site plan reviews of river-edge developments, and published environmental action plans for river sustainability. Her additional experience in the community development finance field includes helping to launch an update report concerning asset-building options for portfolio companies of socially responsible venture capital funds.
