Celia Benton is an Assistant Planner on Vandewalle & Associates’Redevelopment Team. Celia is interested in the revitalization of communities, cities, and regional communities; as a Wisconsin native, she is enthusiastic about helping promote place-based, sustainable economic development in both her home state and the regional economy.

Prior to joining Vandewalle, Celia received her Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning after completing a fellowship from the University’s Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise. At Cornell, Celia concentrated on economic development and urban revitalization. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador, where she performed research, applied for grants, and implemented and managed economic development projects geared towards local youth and local development.
