As an Associate Planner, Brandy Howe provides planning, growth management, and community development services. Brandy serves as project manager, author, analyst, researcher, and coordinator on a broad range of projects. Brandy specializes in the following service areas: public outreach, comprehensive and neighborhood planning, park and open space planning, urban service area planning, zoning, farmland preservation planning, transportation studies, and tax increment finance planning. Since joining Vandewalle, Brandy has had a significant role in providing planning services to numerous Wisconsin communities including DeForest, Darien, Fontana, Horicon, Mount Horeb, and Watertown.

Brandy's work is focused on helping communities identify strategic, long-term solutions for their planning, development, and economic development needs. Professionally and personally Brandy advocates for sustainable community building that fosters efficiency, balanced growth, and a strong sense of community. Brandy's interests also include waste reduction, alternative transportation, and food production.

Prior to joining Vandewalle & Associates, Brandy attended the University of Iowa where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and her Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning. As a native Iowan, Brandy continues to maintain close ties to the state as well as an interest in Iowa planning issues and opportunities.
