Sugar Creek redevelopment goes to Verona Common Council

VERONA, WISC. (excerpts from The Verona Press) – A proposal to redevelop the former Sugar Creek Elementary School land is headed to the Common Council for a key vote. The development, would include the construction of 140 market rate apartments, 110 workforce housing apartments and 10,000 square feet of commercial space on more than 12 acres just west of downtown Verona. Slinger opens new Ice Age Trail segment to fanfare

SLINGER, WISC. On October 6, the community of Slinger came out to walk and enjoy the newest multi-use trail asset that connects part of the Ice Age Trail through previously vacant land owned by the village. While the Ice Age Trail that winds throughout Wisconsin is pedestrian only, this new segment is also open to bikes yet was awarded full Ice Age Trail segment status by the Ice Age Trail Alliance. New Cannery District Plan gets green light
