Ashley Robertson, AICP
Assistant Planner


Ashley joined Vandewalle & Associates in June 2013 to assist in the firm’s work in redevelopment and economic positioning projects, including projects in Freeport and Streator, Illinois and in Janesville and Madison, Wisconsin. She is particularly invested in reenergizing cities across the Midwest, and repositioning communities large and small to be globally competitive and relevant in our innovative economy.

Ashley’s work in economic development includes writing several Downtown Plans, Redevelopment Plans, Economic Opportunity Analyses, and TIF Plans. She has led community engagement efforts for projects in Racine, Milton, and Black Earth, Wisconsin. Ashley also supports project implementation efforts in communities like Waterloo, Iowa and Monona, WI through developer recruitment, project financing, project phasing, and project development. Ashley is well versed in financing strategies and serves as the in-house grants manager.
