Roadside America writes about experiences in the John Deere Tractor & Engine museum

WATERLOO, IOWA:

The John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum, located in one of the repurposed John Deere manufacturing buildings preserved at Waterloo’s TechWorks campus, opened in 2014. Roadside America has now visited the Museum and provided its ‘Field Review by the Team’ including a rating of: “Worth a Detour.”

From the outside the Museum retains much of its original industrial character–but it has plenty of surprising stories to tell on the inside. Vandewalle & Associates created the redevelopment concept, reuse strategy and implementation plan for TechWorks, as well as to help develop the “Deere & Co. in Waterloo” storylines and weave them together to create memorable visitor experiences working with Deere & Co. and exhibit consultant Ravenswood Studios.

This article from Roadside America.com is an entertaining read and the most thoughtful visitor synopsis of those engaging experiences we have read. Of course for the real thing you will just have to get yourself to Waterloo.
