V&A grows its own – as Jackie Mich moves to our Milwaukee office

Vandewalle & Associates is delighted to announce that the idea of “grow your own” is again proving fruitful for the team. Associate Planner Jackie Mich is making a permanent move to our V&A Milwaukee office to fill our advertised Associate Planner position. The move brings Jackie’s expertise and capacity to the Milwaukee office in the areas of community and comprehensive planning. It also will allow her to grow her involvement in the many of the Milwaukee team’s redevelopment and urban planning projects, such as those in Racine, Oak Creek and Wauwatosa. Jackie, who grew up in Wauwatosa, is enthusiastic about the additional opportunities an urban and coastal city office can open to her. She is especially excited about opportunities that align closely with her professional experience and interests–which include the historic built environment, environmental justice, and helping address racial disparities in housing and transportation. “A dream project for me would be an adaptive reuse of a building with historic value,” she explains, “especially if the reuse involved affordable housing.” Jackie will be making the transition from Madison to Milwaukee beginning March 1, with plans to be full time at V&A’s Global Water Center office by August.
