Horicon paves way for new industrial park

FROM WISC NEWS and the BEAVER DAM DAILY CITIZEN: The council on Tuesday voted unanimously to purchase a 40-acre plot of Highway 33 for creation of a new industrial park. The 40-acre plot was annexed by the city of Horicon from the town of Oak Grove and rezoned to limited industrial and heavy industrial land from prime agricultural land. The property was also added into the Tax Increment District No. 5 which was created last year to help with the John Deere expansion. According to Scott Harrington of Vandewalle & Associates the TID will provide funds so the city can provide utilities to the site. The building shown is on land that will become part of the new park.
